A bought a case of Planter’s walnuts through work a few weeks ago and so my mom suggested that I try and make candied walnuts to use on our cheese platters. I tried two different recipes.
The first used white sugar plus cinnamon. The second and my parents favorite used brown sugar and cayenne pepper. The cayenne gave it a nice kick and broke up the sweetness of the caramelized brown sugar. I packaged them in glass bottles I had saved.
